Crested Butte Festivals

People in Crested Butte have a joy for life. Nearly every month of the year you can find a festival or five.

Opening day of skiing kicks off a season of winter festivities. December festivals include Kids' Night Torchlight Parade, and the New Year's Eve Celebration and Fireworks. January features the classic Winter Carnival and Butte Bash College Ski Week. Come in February for unforgettably fabulous Mardi Gras and many racing events. March boasts the Extreme Boarderfest and great spring skiing for everyone. Join in the fun of Slushuck, Crested Butte's wacky spring ski celebration in April and flush out winter at the zany town festival known as Flaushink.

Summer is wildflower heaven in Crested Butte. The annual Fat Tire Bike Week is generally in June. July is peak season with the Crested Butte Music Festival, Fourth of July Parade and Fireworks, annual Wildflower Festival, and Alpenglow Concert Series. Later summer brings the annual Festival of the Arts, Crested Butte Ball Bash, a golf tournament, film festival and mountain bike race series.

Fall is Crested Butte's best kept secret. Join in Vinotok the offbeat celebration of autumn, the Paragon People's Fair, a road rally and mountain bike tour. One of Colorado's perennially number one ranked  "Best Fall Drives" is along Kebler Pass which starts at the west end of town

Crested Butte is vibrant, colorful, fun-loving place to visit year round. Locals and visitors join together at any excuse to celebrate life.
